System Analysts are IT professionals who act as a mediator between clients and technical team. They are responsible for integrating business requirements into technology and ensure the smooth functioning of the business operations.

A systems analysts investigate, analyzes, designs, develops, installs, evaluates, and maintains a company’s information systems (Tilley and Rosenblatt, 2017). Within an organization, the system analyst works both internally and externally. One of the responsibilities of a system analyst is to be a translator to the team as their knowledge helps in transforming the current and future business requirements into IT projects. When working as a translator, the systems analyst creates a various model of diagrams, decision tables and uses descriptive tools and techniques. Additionally, when a systems analyst communicates with a manager, they translate complex technical issues into words and images that nontechnical people can understand. As a translator, system analyst also creates various communication methods and presentations. A successful system analyst has a strong technical and analytical knowledge, oral and written communication skills, knowledge of the business operations, and critical thinking skills (Tilley and Rosenblatt, 2017). A system analyst acting as a translator helps in planning and coordinating a successful project.
A system analyst might be asked to document business processes, test hardware and software packages, design input screens, train users, and plan commerce websites on any given day. A systems analyst may occasionally manage IT projects, including tasks, resources, schedules, and costs. To keep managers and users informed, the analyst conducts meetings, delivers presentations, and writes memos, reports, and documentation.
A system analyst is critical in the system analysis process. Data is everywhere and very important for a company. We need to have giant hardware, update software regularly, and process data to handle infinity data. Companies can make more profit, saving money, saving time if they manage data well. Therefore, system analyst is critical.
